Melissa

We’re proud to share that our Head of Purchasing and co-owner, Melissa Young, has been shortlisted for Supply Chain Woman of the Year at the National Women in Agriculture Awards, recognising women making a significant contribution across the agricultural supply chain.

This award recognises women making a significant contribution across the agricultural supply chain, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving nomination.

Melissa has played a key role in the growth and evolution of Nick Young Tractor Parts, helping to shape how we operate today while staying true to what we’ve always stood for.

Over the past year in particular, she has led some of the most important changes in our business, strengthening supplier relationships and improving purchasing processes as well as helping us increase availability across a wider range of parts.

Crucially, she’s done this while protecting what matters most, making sure our customers still get the right part, quickly, when they need it.

A key part of the team

Anyone who works with Melissa knows exactly what she brings to the business.

She’s hands-on, solutions-focused, and always willing to step in when something needs sorting, especially when a part is difficult to source or time is tight for a customer.

She’s also a big part of what keeps everything moving behind the scenes, making sure the detail is right so the wider team can do their jobs effectively.

Like everything we do, this recognition reflects a team effort, but Melissa’s contribution to that is clear.

Built on the same values

As a family business, we’ve always believed in doing what we say we’re going to do.

That means being reliable, honest and straightforward in how we work, and making sure our customers can depend on us.

Melissa has grown up around the business and continues to carry those values forward every day, helping us evolve while keeping that same level of trust.

We’re delighted to see Melissa recognised in this way and incredibly proud of everything she’s achieved.

We’re looking forward to attending the Women in Agriculture Awards and supporting her on the night, as she goes up against an inspiring group of women from across the industry.

The ceremony takes place in London on Tuesday 5th May 2026, and we’ll be there cheering her on every step of the way.

Whatever the outcome, this is a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved moment of recognition.
